Songs in the Key of D are delighted to bring their show, ‘Raised on Songs & Stories’, to the historic setting of Richmond Barracks, Inchicore on Friday 1st December at 8pm. A night of Dublin song and story is in store with the choir joined by acclaimed spoken word poet, Stephen James Smith. Led by musical directors and multi-instrumentalists KC Fusion, expect to hear the 50 person choir perform songs by acts like The Dubliners, The Fureys, Noel Purcell, SinΓ©ad O’Connor, Bell X1, Aslan, Mic Christopher, The Coronas, Glen Hansard and many more.
The choir are delighted to be joined on the night by spoken word poet, Stephen James Smith. Stephen wrote the acclaimed poem, Dublin You Are, and was commissioned by St Patrick’s Festival to produce a poem in honour of our national holiday. The theme of the 2017 parade was inspired by his words.
